Vilnius, Trakai & Kaunas, 2023

Trakai (Troki) lake and castle. Plus a few houses at the Karaites’ street. Who are Karaites? Mostly Crimean Jews, a Turkic-speaking community, whose Karaite Judaism (יהדות קראית) is a “Jewish religious movement characterized by the recognition of the written Tanakh alone as its supreme authority in halakha (Jewish religious law) and theology” (wiki). They reject the mainstream Rabbinic Judaism.

Kaunas & Jonava area, with the Neman / Niemen (Niemunas) river as one of the most beautiful natural/regulated banks.
